Coach Rosey Lee

4.5 DUPR | PPA & APP Competitor | Tennis & Pickleball Coach

Rosey Lee is originally from New Jersey and has been immersed in the world of competitive tennis and pickleball. A nationally ranked junior tennis player, she went on to earn a full athletic scholarship to the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB), where she achieved All-American honors, was named Player of the Year in the American Athletic Conference, and pursued a degree in Business Management.

With over 19 years of experience as the founder and director of CTA Sports Academy, Rosey has developed a comprehensive program where junior and adult players alike thrive, learn, and grow. Under her leadership, thousands of players have trained at the academy, including 12 exceptional students who went on to earn collegiate tennis scholarships.

In January 2025, Rosey launched Amped Pickleball, fueled by her growing passion for the sport after competing successfully in tournaments. Currently holding a 4.5 DUPR rating, she brings the same dedication, knowledge, and enthusiasm that defined her tennis career into pickleball coaching and development.

Coach Josh Cornett

5.0 DUPR | PPA & APP Competitor | Tennis & Pickleball Coach

With a 5.0 DUPR rating and experience competing in PPA and APP pro events across the country, Coach Josh Cornett brings elite-level insight and passion to every session. A nationally ranked tennis player, Josh has spent the past two years coaching at CTA Sports Academy, helping players refine their technique, strategy, and mindset on the court.

Pickleball quickly became more than a sport, it became his obsession and purpose. Now, Josh channels that same drive into developing the next generation of players, teaching the skills, strategy, and mentality it takes to become a champion.

Coach Gavin Nickerson

5.1 DUPR | PPA Tour Player | Pickleball Coach & Strategist

With over six years of playing and coaching experience, Coach Gavin Nickerson is known for his calm, patient teaching style and deep understanding of the modern pickleball game. Competing on the PPA Tour with a 5.1 DUPR rating, Gavin brings both high-level experience and a coach’s mindset to every lesson.

He specializes in developing strategic awareness, helping players master the nuances of both singles and doubles playthrough thoughtful instruction and real-match insight. Gavin’s ability to break down complex strategies, combined with his passion for helping players reach their potential, makes him one of the most respected and relatable coaches on the court.
